Blow Dried and Flat Ironed Hair

On January 1, 2014, I washed blow dried and flat ironed my hair. This was indeed a lengthy process.

I didn’t do a pre-poo. Although I sorta knew I was going to wash my hair I went out earlier that morning, returning mid afternoon and didn’t have time to do a pre-poo.

To wash my hair I used Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Shampoo. I then proceeded to use my favorite conditioner, Herbal Essences Hello Hydration to detangle and deep condition my hair. After half hour I rinsed the conditioner and then lightly towel dry my hair.

As a leave in conditioner, I applied Parnevu Growth Creme, followed but my homemade infused shea butter. Using the Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray, I sprayed and massaged a generous amount to my tresses.

To make the process easier, I sectioned my hair in four and worked in small pieces. I blow dried my hair using medium heat with high volume.

I worked in four sections but using a Chi flat iron, I worked in even smaller sections to get a straighter look. I applied avocado oil to each section of hair after I flat ironed.

To set my hair for bed I wrapped and covered it with my satin du-rag.

The Process2

The next morning I undid the wrap but I wasn’t satisfied with the drop so I swooped my hair to the side and used the flat ironed to curl the front. And voila here it is.

The Look

My hair frizzed out during the course of the day and at the end of the day it was “Big Hair Don’t Care”.

What do you think? Do you like it? Hope you do. Leave your comments below. Chao!
